We like to ship our puppies when they are 8 weeks
old. In some cases, we wait to ship tiny puppies at 10 or even 12 weeks. The puppy must be in good health and weigh at least
1.5 lbs before we will consider shipping them. I've found with my experiences that the older and the bigger they are, the
better they handle it.
Shipping puppies at 10 weeks or older makes them less likely to experience ailments
such as blood in the stool, loss of coat, kennel cough, diarrhea, or vomiting. None of these are life threatening,
but very much a concern for the new owner and a great sign that your puppy is upset. If for some reason you notice any of
these conditions, call us so that we may advise you in what to do. You may call us 24-7 daily regarding your new puppy.
